After
retirement from his services, Dr. Hadpad never
wanted to lead a sedentary life. He established
a company in 1991 and provided job opportunities
for ex- RPF staff, ex- Policemen and retired
staff.
In 2002, he spotted an excellent and
hitherto unexplored education system, known as
the Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic
System (UCMAS), an abacus based program, for
children in the age group of 4 and 12 years and
and another one, the Universal Concept Memory
Advance System for children between 12 – 20
years old, especially for 10th and 12th standard
students, in Maharashtra.
Dr. Hadpad
initially started this concept with one center having 7 students in February 2002
in Mumbai. Today, the concept spread all over
Maharashtra with the student strengths having
grown exponentially to 85,000 in 498 centers. He has spread this concept
in Vidharba region, Marathwada region and
villages like Barsi, Akot, Manchar, etc. in
Maharashtra by conducting more than 450 live demonstrations and presentions over there.
Dr. Hadpad has provided several employment
opportunities, especially for the educated,
unemployed women and housewives who work
part time or full time. Till date he has
generated employment more than 2000 persons in Maharashtra.
The speedy
spread of the UCMAS concept in Maharashtra,
under his leadership, is indeed record-breaking, in this highly
competitive service-based Children’s Education
Industry, in India. Dr. Hadpad has been awarded
a certificate, in China, by the Governor of
Shaanxi province, China, on 24th September
2004 and UCMAS Education Group, Malaysia for his outstanding performance and
contribution to the UCMAS.
The Asian Heart
Institute has selected 12 Asians for their
outstanding performance and featured them in its
calendar for 2006. Dr. Hadpad is one amongst
them and his photograph along with UCMAS
students has appeared in the calendar of May
’06. This is circulated to lakhs of people in
India and abroad.
Dr. Hadpad has also
undertaken and initiated the Herculean task of
imparting abacus training to the partially and
totally visually impaired children of
Victoria Memorial School for the Blind at Tardeo
in collaboration with the NAB. As a social
cause, he is providing this training to the
children free of cost.
At the advanced age of
76, he zealously works 12–14 hours a day, as a Chairman & Managing Director of Drishti
Accademy (India) Pvt. Ltd. without expecting
much monetary gain, solely for the benefit of
children, parents, schools and the
nation.

work has been recognized and he has been awarded
the prestigious National Award Shri Rajiv
